Stamped Concrete in Crestwood That Looks Like the Real Thing
Patterns and colors chosen to suit your home, stamped at the right moment and hand-finished at every border.
Good Stamping Fools the Eye. Bad Stamping Does Not.
We will be honest about stamped concrete: quality varies widely. A well-made stamped patio can be mistaken for natural stone from a few feet away. A rushed one has blotchy color, repeating patterns that look obviously printed and sloppy edges where the mats did not reach. The difference comes down to care and timing. Color starts with a base tone mixed into the concrete or broadcast on top, then a contrasting release agent that settles into the grooves and gives the surface depth. Stamping must happen while the concrete is firm enough to hold texture but soft enough to take it, a window that does not wait for anyone. We bring a crew sized to stamp the whole area in that window and then hand-tool the borders and seams. After curing, the surface is cleaned and sealed, which enriches the color and resists staining. Since sealed surfaces can be slick when wet, we suggest textured patterns and a grip additive for walking areas. And because a pattern cannot hide a sinking slab, every stamped job gets the same thorough ground prep, proper depth and planned joints as plain concrete.
